
Our team Chief Development Officer - Bob Gardiner Bob is an experienced Business Executive with a proven track record of success with companies such as SHL/ComputerLand, DEC and Keyword Office Technologies, Ltd. He has created and led a number of companies and corporate divisions including Sales, Customer Service and Consulting, Sales Training, Marketing and Product Management. Bob is the author of “The E-Professional” a book used by Alberta Innovation and Science as a resource for participants in workshops focusing on the Alberta SuperNet. He is working on his second book “The Power of Connected Community” due to be published in early 2008. The following experience is relevant to Bob’s involvement in web and business development projects: 1. As a co-facilitator of the SuperNet Think Tank Roundtable project, Bob contributed to the development of a report of recommendations for the successful implementation of SuperNet in Alberta. The process included small and large (50+) gatherings of people from federal, provincial and local government, First Nations, large and small business and individual Alberta citizens. 2. Bob was the creator and driving force behind the Alberta business portal AlbertaFirst.Com. Developed as the result of an unsolicited proposal to Alberta Economic Development in 1999, the site was one of the first web environments using extensive portal concepts. The site continues to be a major resource to government, business and individuals. 3. Bob is the founder of E-Leadership Canada, a not-for-profit enterprise that produces the Alberta E-Business Leadership Awards and the Canadian E-Business Leadership Program. These programs recognize excellence in online development and leadership in Alberta and Canada. The program has developed a database of more than 400 success stories in ebusiness, egovernment, elearning and online communities. The national awards event is produced in the fall of each year. 4. Bob has been a guest instructor in Project Management at SAIT. He has led public and corporate workshops in this endeavor. Bob is a graduate of Ryerson University and has lived and worked in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta as well as Australia and the UK. He has owned and operated a number of small technology businesses including Internet Service Provider – Netway Internetworking Technologies -, real time stock quotes and financial information web environment – World Wide Quote -, and the web and internal consulting practice E-Strategies International
